Pay is based on number of courses taught and a stipend for additional duties as a core faculty member. The role is not benefits eligible.
Required Education:
Doctorate
Seeking Doctorate prepared remote core faculty to teach 8-week online courses and assist in curriculum and program development in faith-based Counselor Education program.
Remote core faculty can teach at least 18 credits per academic year and participate in faculty meetings and other program development activities.

Location: Online (or onsite at Crown College Omaha, NE)
COMPENSATION:
Pay is based on number of courses taught and a stipend for additional duties as a core faculty member. The role is not benefits eligible.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Facilitate departmentally managed courses within the learning management system.
Verify and personalize the course shell of assigned courses.
Establish teaching presence through weekly announcements and participation in the discussion boards.
Check e-mail at least once a day and respond to student questions within 24 hours.
Provide constructive and developmental feedback in a professional manner.
Practice proactive course management strategies. This includes monitoring assignment submissions and reminding students of upcoming deadlines.
Notify a student’s advisor when there are student concerns or issues.
Integrate one’s faith within the subject matter.
Submit attendance and grading reports to program managers in a timely fashion.
Facilitate any small synchronous sessions as needed.
Provide brief, weekly instructional video as requested by program director. Not all courses require this. Training will be given as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
D. in Counselor Education and Supervision (preferably from CACREP institution) or
D. (or other doctoral degree) in related field with full-time teaching experience in counselor education for a minimum of one academic year prior to July 1, 2013.
Actively engaged in professional practice as a licensed professional counselor (LPC) or equivalent within the helping professions.
Agreement with the College’s Statement of Faith and Community Covenant
Prepared to be “Core Faculty” (as defined by CACREP below).
Core counselor education program faculty identify with the counseling profession (1) through sustained memberships in professional counseling organizations, (2) through the maintenance of certifications and/or licenses related to their counseling specialty area(s), and (3) by showing evidence of sustained (a) professional development and renewal activities related to counseling, (b) professional service and advocacy in counseling, and (c) research and scholarly activity in counseling commensurate with their faculty role.
?PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Online graduate-level teaching experience.
Online course development experience.
Candidates with experience and/or licensure/certification in Alcohol and Drug Counseling.
Experience with CACREP accreditation process.
Experience with Canvas Learning Management System.
Teaching experience in faith-based organization.
Passionate about biblically based higher education.
