Higher Ed Administrative Careers - Admissions/Registrar

Position Summary: Primarily responsible for providing dynamic leadership in the development and coordination of enrollment systems, graduate and postgraduate Admissions, recruitment initiatives to meet targeted enrollment goals pursuant to the Seminary’s vision and mission, and Academic Advising.
Directs Admissions services operation maintaining consistency in Seminary-wide policy and practice, and employing proven principles of excellent customer services and practices.
Works with the AVP of Enrollment Services to develop and implement systematic, student-centered enrollment processes.
Provides oversight for the day-to-day performance of the Admissions team.
Provides ongoing management coaching and training for all members of the Admissions team.
Ensures Admissions team is appropriately staffed by conducting interviews for hire of prospective personnel.
Oversees lead distribution to Advisors and Counselors to ensure the equal distribution of prospective student information.
Works with shared services departments to ensure Asbury Seminary and Admissions team success.
Works with AVP of Enrollment Service to plan and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies with appropriate consultation, and ensures the achievement of established recruiting goals within budgetary constraints.
Maintains appropriate tracking system to measure the effectiveness of recruiting strategies and appropriate use of data in strategic decision-making. Periodic reports to various campus constituencies are expected.
Prepares annual performance reviews.
Serves on the Enrollment Management Team (EMT), an inter-divisional senior leadership body designed to improve planning, communication, and execution of enrollment and retention strategies.
Works with the department of EMT to develop and implement strategies to achieve qualitative and quantitative enrollment goals.
Communicates information supporting the implementation of Seminary admission policies to Seminary members and external entities.
Works with AVP of Enrollment Services to develop Admissions policy recommendations for consideration by appropriate academic committees; implements and/or interprets policies in collaboration with appropriate bodies.
Works closely with the AVP of Enrollment Services in developing appropriate communication strategies for a variety of constituency groups.
Ensures student data is accurate and maintained appropriately inside the ERP (Anthology) and CRM (SLATE).
Oversees all Admissions/Recruiting/Academic Advising functions.
Analyzes Admissions/Academic Advising data as part of a strategic enrollment management process.
Assesses Admissions/Academic Advising activities to determine overall effectiveness and efficiencies.
Creates and maintains dashboard reports related to recruitment, admissions, and advising.
Maintains an admissions/advising caseload to help provide hands-on experience related to the student experience.
Participates in professional development conferences.
Travels occasionally to recruit.
Other tasks as assigned by AVP of Enrollment Services.

Supervises Admissions staff. Ensures proper training of all new staff.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience inside a higher educational institution, Admissions experience preferred.
Demonstrated record of achievement in implementing successful programs at a higher educational institution, including successful marketing, promotions, and recruitment record.
Supervisory experience that is relevant to the Admissions department.
Experience in working in a diverse, multicultural environment.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
An understanding and use of innovative ways to use technology in the recruitment process.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Ability to facilitate organizational development and change.
A faith in Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior that can be adequately articulated.
A firm commitment to the Asbury Seminary ethos statement.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Helps to develop and implement Admissions functions that attract qualified students in sufficient numbers to meet or exceed established enrollment goals for all programs and degrees.
Develops and maintains a system of periodic communication with every student that provides both general and personalized information
Works in collaboration with Registrar, Financial Aid Director, and Director of Student Services, as part of the Enrollment Management Team.
Encourages and maintains a service-oriented ethos amongst the Admissions Staff.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS Bachelor’s degree required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
