The Office of Advancement seeks a full-time Vice President for Institutional Advancement to lead the comprehensive alumni engagement and fundraising strategy that prioritizes developing partnerships to create a culture of philanthropy, deepen alumni engagement and successfully position the College and Seminary in future campaigns. The VP will lead a process to develop compelling ideas and approaches that will result in transformative philanthropy across the College and Seminary. This includes motivating, mentoring, and leading the institutional advancement team; strengthening metrics, analytics, and operations; increasing alumni and volunteer engagement; and carrying a portfolio of principal gift prospects.The Vice President for Institutional Advancement will work closely with the President and the other members of the President’s Cabinet, playing a key leadership role in fostering a sense of inclusion and engagement in a diverse and vibrant community that includes our alumni, donors, and friends. This position supports the President in leading the institutions of Roberts Wesleyan College and Northeastern Seminary through advisement and service on the President’s Cabinet, strategic councils and other committees as assigned by the President. Area of responsibility includes Alumni & Constituent Relations, Development (annual giving, major gifts, planned giving), Engagement and Advancement Communications, Grants Development, Government and Community Relations and Advancement Services. The successful candidate will have extended experience in development or a related field with demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding goals, as well as proven experience in developing, leading and delivering on capital campaigns. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are required. We are seeking candidates who are able to demonstrate cultural competence and those who value the principles of diversity and equity. A minimum of eight years of progressively responsible experience in non-profit fundraising and a bachelor's degree are required; a master’s degree is preferred.
