The Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU) invites applications for an admissions coordinator who is excited to use creativity, organization, energy and excellent communication skills to promote the BestSemester off-campus programs of the CCCU to students and its member schools. The Admissions Coordinator serves as the primary admissions counselor responsible for advising and enrolling students into the assigned programs. Admissions recruitment, counseling, student outreach and enrollment management are all primary functions of this position. In addition, this position assists in coordinating campus outreach and marketing initiatives for BestSemester programs.
There are nine BestSemester programs offered by the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities to its membership; with 3 based in the US and 6 based internationally. BestSemester is known for faith-integrated, academically challenging and experience-based programing with excellent faculty and staff. Program directors are supported by a Washington, D.C.-based support team (marketing, applications and enrollment, campus relations, crisis management and curricular development and planning).
The Council is a professional association of 180 campuses in 20 nations whose mission is to advance the cause of Christ-centered higher education and to help our member institutions transform lives by faithfully relating scholarship and service to biblical truth. The Council coordinates professional development opportunities for administrators and faculty, manages U.S. based and international off-campus student programs, provides public advocacy for Christ-centered higher education and manages cooperative efforts among its member campuses (www.cccu.org) (https://www.bestsemester.com/).
Primary duties as the admissions counselor for two programs:
Maintain an active and engaging communication plan with students, parents, and off-campus study coordinators via phone calls, texts, emails, direct mail, etc.
Identify, recruit, and enroll prospective students into the programs, and provide up-to date student reports as needed
Provide admissions counseling to prospective applicants on the distinctive features, financial aid policies, and admissions process of the programs
Communicate with program directors to ensure admissions decisions are made within two weeks of application completion
Participate as an active member of the recruitment team in developing special programs and research projects, developing/implementing enrollment strategies, and developing/distributing promotional materials
Maintain and update student information and program applications in Terra Dotta and Microsoft Dynamics
Coordinate visas, Basic Information Guides, Travel Memos, and other pre-departure materials for distribution for the programs
Attend study abroad fairs and campus visits as assigned
Secondary duties relating to administrative services or campus relations coordination may include:
Follow-up with the general BestSemester inquiries who have not selected a specific program
Serve as an Assistant to the Vice President, organizing conference calls, events, and projects as assigned
Maintain current program folders (semester schedules, key dates, emergency contacts, evaluations, travel, etc.)
Process transcript requests from past BestSemester students
Assist the other admissions coordinators in maintaining BestSemester social media pages
Assist with the coordination of campus visit travel schedules and campus visit reporting
Organize campus visit reporting
Coordinate campus outreach initiatives for faculty and administrators
Assist in developing marketing initiatives, photo contests, events, social media campaigns, etc.
Assist in developing a comprehensive BestSemester communication plan
Assist with the conception, writing, and design of CCCU branding and marketing initiatives
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Persons applying for the position should:
Have a strong appreciation for the Christian mission and purpose of the CCCU and its BestSemester programs
Have a Bachelor’s degree
Have strong writing and editing skills
Have excellent communication skills
Have experience with a variety of social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram)
Preference will be given to applicants with the following desired qualities:
Study abroad experience, preferably as an alum of a BestSemester program
Interest in scholarship and academic advancement
Experience in Christian higher education
Experience working in an admissions related field
Familiarity with CRM software platforms
Other requirements include:
Ability to work for long periods of time at the computer
Ability and willingness to travel (including weekend travel)
Application should include:
A statement of your Christian faith, including the story of how you came to faith and how your relationship with Christ has shaped your vocation and decision to apply for this position

What in a study abroad experience is appealing to a Christian college undergraduate student?
You notice in early fall that your spring enrollment applicant pool is quite low, and you don’t think that you will hit your enrollment goals. What initiative would you take in order to get more students in the application pipeline?
