Trinity College of Trinity International University announces an opening for a full-time tenure track position in psychology, beginning in the fall of 2022 at the Waupun Correctional Extension Site. Opened in the fall of 2017, the Waupun Correctional Extension Site serves incarcerated men within the Wisconsin Department of Corrections (WIDOC). All courses are taught within the Waupun Correctional Institution in Waupun, WI. Students at the Waupun site minor in psychology with the goal of providing excellent helping skills so that graduates are prepared to positively impact their sphere of influence within and outside of the correctional environment.
Review of applications begins immediately and will continue until the position is filled. Final candidates will be subject to a background check, including one by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections..

Qualifications include a vibrant Christian faith, a desire to work with incarcerated undergraduate students, an earned doctorate in psychology (or subfield), superior teaching skills, a student-centered approach to teaching and mentoring, and the ability to work collaboratively. The faculty member will be expected to pursue scholarship as appropriate to a tenure-track appointment.
Preference will be given to candidates who have the ability and desire to teach in the area of counseling who also have sufficient breadth to manage courses like Introduction to Psychology and Personality Theories. Additional areas of expertise and interest will also be taken into consideration.
