SUMMARY: Primary responsibilities include teaching and participation in all aspects of curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation. The faculty will teach and mentor students throughout the didactic and clinical curriculum. Responsibilities also include scholarly activity, advising students, serving on school, university, state, regional, and national committees. Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development, Implementation, and Evaluation
Assist in the development and review of the mission, goals, and objective of the program.
Assist in the development of the curriculum in all stages of the program to include the didactic and clinical phases.
Assist with the development of goals and learning objectives for each course of study, to include the didactic and clinical phases.
Teaching
Provide student instruction in assigned courses specifically A and P, Pathophysiology, Immunology, Genetics
Develop and evaluate student performance in both the didactic and clinical phase.
Some teaching assignments may exist in a course where the faculty member is not a primary instructor (e.g. labs, OSCEs, clinical year curriculum)
Guild Masters
Instruct students on research methods and scientific literature review.
Mentor and guild faculty in research and publication
Conduct research.
Student Advisement
Assist in the progression of the students.
Ensure that remediation is available.
Determine and assign remediation as appropriate.
Committee Representation
Attend Faculty Senate meetings.
Participate in the Admissions Committee
Assist in developing and reviewing the admissions process.
Assist in the selection of applicants for admission.
Participate in other committees as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network +, or comparable certification is preferred.
Working knowledge, experience, and certification of the ITIL framework are preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Azure, Azure AD, and Azure Virtual Desktop Infrastructure is abig plus.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in the English language; ability to speak Spanish highly desirable.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Master’s level PA, Doctoral preferred in Ph.D., M.D., D.O., or PharmD with 3-years of experience required. Previous teaching and research experience highly desired.
