Faculty Full-time 

The Department of Communication and Sociology at Abilene Christian University, located in Abilene, Texas, is accepting applications for a visiting professor position in Sociology for the 2023/2024 academic year. Position will begin in August.

Responsibilities:
Candidates will be required to teach 4 undergraduate courses per semester covering abroad range of undergraduate courses in sociology, from introductory to upper-level courses. The ideal candidate is a teacher dedicated to mentoring undergraduate
students, particularly those from diverse backgrounds. All applicants should demonstrate a record of excellent classroom teaching. Applicants must have strong communication skills and interest in the development of students.

The Department of Communication and Sociology at Abilene Christian University provides undergraduate majors in Communication and Sociology with minors in Communication, Sociology, Leadership Studies, and Aging Studies. Additionally, the department offers an MS in Communication. Departmental faculty contribute regularly to interdisciplinary programs such as Africana Studies, Gender and Multicultural Studies, the Pre-Law Program, and the Honors Program.
