The Department of Communication and Sociology at Abilene Christian University, located in Abilene, Texas, is accepting applications for a visiting professor position in Sociology for the 2023/2024 academic year. Position will begin in August. Responsibilities: Candidates will be required to teach 4 undergraduate courses per semester covering abroad range of undergraduate courses in sociology, from introductory to upper-level courses. The ideal candidate is a teacher dedicated to mentoring undergraduate students, particularly those from diverse backgrounds. All applicants should demonstrate a record of excellent classroom teaching. Applicants must have strong communication skills and interest in the development of students. Additionally, the department offers an MS in Communication.
