Position Summary
Full-time, tenure/tenure-track faculty position in Business within the University’s College of Business and Leadership. The business specialty is open, but the faculty member has strong competence in and comfort with using business statistics and analytics to make informed decisions. The faculty member is an academic professional committed to excellence in teaching, advising, scholarship, and service, who has and maintains academic competence in their field of expertise, which should include business analytics. The faculty member will also have teaching responsibilities in both traditional and adult education programs, in-person and online.

- Prepares for and teaches course loads as assigned and with effectiveness.
- Teaches in in-person and online environments.
- Provides academic advising to students as assigned.
- Remains competent and conversant in academic discipline.
- Fulfills faculty service requirements, per faculty handbook.
- Fulfills the expectations for faculty scholarship and creative/professional endeavor as outlined in the faculty handbook.
- Participates in academic department and college life, per faculty handbook.
- Provides spiritual mentoring for students and support for colleagues.
- Participates in graduation exercises as required and appropriate.
- Reviews, understands, and follows the employee expectations enumerated in the faculty handbook.
- Understands and follows FERPA regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Academic credentials suitable for a tenure-track faculty role in higher education: this would be a terminal academic degree, usually a doctorate.
- Substantial coursework or professional experience in business analytics and/or statistics preferred.
- Competence (or ability and willingness to acquire competence) with
e-learning tools and software platforms. - Competence (or ability and willingness to acquire competence) in providing video content for non-traditional learners.
- Demonstrated capacity for integrity, honesty, and principled behavior.
- Demonstrated commitment to the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching, scholarship, service, and administration.
- Competence in facilitating classes for both traditional and non-traditional learners.
- Current valid driver's license or adequate means of transportation.
- Enthusiastically endorses and signs Eastern University's Doctrinal Statement.
- Enthusiastically supports the mission and values of Eastern University.
- Power user of Google Sheets and/or MS Excel.
- Technical skills that may include tools such as R or Python for data analysis, Tableau or Power BI for data visualization, and/or SQL for data retrieval and transformation preferred.

and;

Results must be submitted within ten days of receipt.
