The Campus Services Department at Johnson University invites applications for the position of Vice President for Campus Services. Job Summary:
The Vice President for Campus Services is a member of the President’s Senior Leadership Team and is responsible for oversight of all non-academic operations departments. These include plant services, information technology, media services, campus store, major contractual relationships, and risk management. In addition, the person in the position assumes a leadership role in strategic planning and execution of the strategic direction of all operations departments. The VP for Campus Services should be able to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment that may require more than 40 hours every week. They should be able to promote a climate of cooperation among staff employees and their respective administrative offices, maximize effectiveness of the unit’s execution of its responsibilities, and provide feedback for performance assessment and continuous improvement.
Primary responsibilities include oversight of the following:
Inventory and plant assets;
Maintenance of buildings/furnishings;
Protective/safety services;
Housekeeping services;
Grounds keeping services;
Operation of utilities;
New construction and physical plant expansion;
Information Technology department;
Director of Operations;
Operation of the Campus Store;
Media Services;
Major third party and contractual relationships, such as dining services;
Risk management activities, including institution-wide insurance coverage, campus security and safety, and environmental safety;
Auxiliary enterprises;
Strategic planning for operations departments;
Resource allocation and budgeting for operations departments;
Other duties as assigned by the President.

Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills;
Experience with fiscal planning, budgeting and reporting;

Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, management, or related field; Master’s (especially an MBA) degree preferred;
Significant experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in an educational setting or nonprofit organization;
Understanding of and strong commitment to the mission of Johnson University;
Preference given to candidates with a history of active church membership in Christian churches/churches of Christ.
Since this position oversees the emergency response of safety, security, facilities, and I.T. and works nonbusiness hours related to events, this position is required to live on campus.
