Position Summary
Montreat College Online is seeking a highly motivated and student-focused Online Enrollment Specialist to join our growing team. This role is responsible for guiding prospective students through the admissions process, assisting with application completion, and ensuring a smooth transition into their undergraduate or graduate degree program. Additionally, this position provides ongoing support to enrolled students, helping them navigate their academic journey and stay on track to graduation.
The ideal candidate is adaptable, goal-oriented, and approaches each day with a mindset of continuous improvement. This is a fast-paced, remote position that requires strong communication skills, a proactive approach to student engagement, and a deep commitment to the mission and values of Montreat College Online. The Online Enrollment Specialist will work collaboratively with the admissions, enrollment, and student success teams to drive recruitment and retention efforts, contributing to the overall growth of Montreat College Online.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with prospective students through phone, email, text, and virtual meetings to provide personalized guidance on program options, application requirements, and financial aid resources.
- Assist students with the admissions process, ensuring they complete all required steps for acceptance for acceptance and enrollment.
- Track and follow up with prospective students to encourage application completion and program commitment.
- Evaluate applications and supporting documents ensuring compliance with college policies and standards.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for enrolled students, providing academic advising and support from orientation through graduation.
- Monitor student progress, identify at-risk students, and implement proactive outreach strategies to improve retention and success.
- Assist students with course selection, registration, and navigating college policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with academic support staff and other college departments to connect students with necessary resources.
- Foster relationships with students to create a supportive and engaging online learning experience.
- Work closely with the admissions and student success teams to achieve enrollment and retention goals.
- Contribute to the development of innovative recruitment and retention strategies to enhance student engagement.
- Utilize a data-driven approach to assess and improve enrollment and student success efforts.
- Actively participate in team meetings, strategy discussions, and professional development opportunities.
- Demonstrate a team-player mentality and actively contribute to the mission and growth of Montreat College Online.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships and engage with prospective and current students.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with minimal supervision.
- Technologically proficient, with experience using CRM systems, student information systems, and virtual communication tools.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in higher education, counseling, or a related field.
- Experience working with adult learners and online students
