LeTourneau University is seeking an exceptional educator with a strong Christian faith to teach and serve within the School of Nursing. This is a 9-month, full-time, tenure-track position with rank negotiable based on experience. Classes and other responsibilities are conducted primarily on weekdays but may include occasional evening or weekend responsibilities. Attendance is required at typical faculty and administrative meetings including graduation. The candidate must be in genuine agreement with the University’s Statement of Faith and Community Covenant for life and work at LeTourneau (link).

Responsibilities
Successful candidates for this full-time, tenure-track position will
Teach a full-time course load of nursing classes, which will involve preparation of course materials, delivery of content, and evaluation of student learning, in the clinical areas of pediatrics and women’s/family health
Teach both classroom and clinical courses, which may require working evenings, nights, and weekends
Use conceptual, learning-based teaching strategies
Participate in university activities, committees, and seminars as well as departmental meetings/activities
Advise and mentor students
Engage in retention and recruiting efforts for the School of Nursing
Qualifications
Applicants must hold an earned MSN with at least 12 graduate level credit hours of nursing education courses. Applicants with a doctorate or in the later stages of earning a doctorate degree in nursing are preferred. Applicants must be licensed or eligible for licensing in the state of Texas. Ideal candidates will have university-level academic experience in a school of nursing with a successful record of teaching in nursing and possess a strong commitment to Christian higher education and program building. Interest and experience in curriculum and program development
A strong interest and commitment to teaching and advising at the undergraduate level
Ability to relate to students and to communicate subject material using innovative approaches and technologies
Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends as necessary
