The Consortium’s Internship Program provides training, development and coaching for recent college graduates serving at Christian Study Centers for one year. Interns receive experience in programming, operations and fundraising, and they develop a better understanding of their vocational goals and their place in God’s kingdom.
On a day-to-day basis, built around the interns skills & interest, the interns work with center staff to provide programming and opportunities for students. Over the course of the year, interns benefit from exposure to the study center movement through the Consortium’s Annual Meeting and other opportunities to interact with interns and staff at other study centers and foundations.
This is a full-time, paid internship that includes a vocational mentor and ongoing training with a cohort of other young professionals. A salary and housing are provided.
Positions available at Christian Study Centers on the following campuses: Ball State, Cornell, Duke, University of Minnesota, University of Virginia, University of Wisconsin - Madison, and Virginia Tech.
Examples of Day-to-Day activities may include the following:
Maintain a Presence on Campus and Carry Out Regular Relational Contact Work
- Regularly meet with student contacts and seek out new student contacts.
- Help integrate students into the local church.
- Help students get connected to study center programming, conferences, and other transformational opportunities, especially through the development and use of social media strategy, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and GroupMe.
- Facilitate partnerships between the study center and other Christian ministries on campus by visiting campus fellowship meetings regularly and participating in initiatives that foster unity among fellowships.
Provide Support to the Study Center’s Living-learning Community
- Take initiative to create a healthy culture and intentional Christian community drawing on historic resources of spiritual formation and practice, and model Christian living as a resident of the community.
- Work with study center staff in the development of content for use in study center programming, especially Sunday night dinners and retreats.
- Work with study center staff in developing regular electronic engagement with students, including social media and email newsletters.
- Nurture students’ learning to share their spiritual, physical, and academic lives together, learning disciplines such as service, love, mutual support, and forgiveness and reconciliation.
- Work with other study center staff to recruit, interview, and select prospective residents.
- Participate in leading spiritual formation and direction with residents.
- Provide hospitality and operational support for ongoing study center events and special engagement event on campus.

Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Some level of familiarity of intentional living communities.
- Ability to recruit, motivate, empower, and equip others for leadership in ministry.
- A team player, but someone who can take initiative and work independently.
