Our Kinesiology program offers a robust curriculum with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, featuring specialized emphases in Exercise Physiology, Sports Performance, and pre-professional pathways in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Athletic Training. We also offer a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology with concentrations in Physical Education Teaching and Kinesiology, as well as a Master of Arts in Kinesiology.

Duties:
Teach undergraduate and online graduate courses within the Kinesiology curriculum (e.g., nutrition, research methods, physiology of exercise, biomechanics, exercise testing/prescription, strength and conditioning) or other Kinesiology program areas depending upon background and interests.
Develop and maintain an active scholarly research agenda that incorporates student research.
Mentor and advise Kinesiology students.
Maintain professional memberships and pursuit of professional development.
Contribute to departmental, university and community activities and service.
Communicate Christian faith and demonstrate the integration of faith into the classroom.
Required:
Terminal degree (or nearly completed doctorate) in an area directly related to course work described above.
Evidence of potential for excellent college-level instruction.
Record or promise of scholarly achievement.
Evidence of potential to be a strong mentor and advisor to Kinesiology majors.
Ability to work with students, staff, and faculty in a collegial environment.
Ability to integrate kinesiology and Christian faith.
Commitment to the Christian faith and the University’s mission of Christ-centered teaching and learning and involvement in a local church.
Preferred:
Specialization in exercise physiology, biomechanics, exercise testing/prescription, or strength and conditioning.
Experience in distance-learning or online teaching.

Environmental Conditions:
Indoors in a normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, fumes, vibrations, and temperature changes at least eighty percent (80%) of the time.
Frequent computer use at a workstation, up to eight hours per day.
Frequently work at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
Drive personal or University vehicles to appointments.
Public contact position requiring professional apparel, personal hygiene, and grooming.
Physical Demands:
This position typically functions indoors in an office environment with light to moderate noise associated with business office equipment. The position may involve travel for meetings and events.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: remain in a stationary position 80 % of the time, be able to move about inside the office to access file cabinets/office machinery etc., operate a computer and keyboard and other office productivity machinery such as calculators/copy machines/printers. The employee is occasionally required to position self to reach items on the floor and in high cabinetry.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Employee must be able to communicate with others to exchange information including both over the telephone and in-person communication with callers and community members and be able to read a computer screen and paper documents.
