The Department of Accounting and Finance in the AACSB-Accredited Hickingbotham School of Business at Ouachita Baptist University invites applications for three tenure-track positions (in Accounting, Business Analytics, and Finance) to begin August 2025. The successful candidates for these positions will display evidence of excellent teaching; scholarly activity in the field; a collegial commitment to professional, university, and departmental objectives, and a Christian commitment consistent with the university’s vision, mission, values, and statement of faith.
The Hickingbotham School of Business (HSB) is the only private AACSB-Accredited school in Arkansas, and remains one of the smallest AACSB programs in the world where teaching and research are both valued and supported. HSB faculty and students benefit from a generous endowment provided by the school’s namesake, Mr. Frank Hickingbotham. Additionally, faculty and students remain actively involved in the business community thanks in part to a highly engaged Executive Advisory Board that supports the efforts of the school.
Primary teaching responsibilities will include a cross-section of courses within the academic discipline. Other responsibilities will include supporting students through academic advising, working with colleagues to develop new and existing programs, and actively participating in campus life. Additional opportunities exist for on and off-campus engagements, such as research and professional development. Rank and salary are dependent on qualifications. A PhD is preferred.
To apply, complete the Faculty Application for Employment, and electronically forward a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and transcripts to hsbsearch@obu.edu. Priority review of completed applications will begin on September 15 and will continue until the position is filled.
