Job Summary: 

The Judson University Department of Architecture and Interior Design invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Architectural Design and Digital Design, at the Assistant or Associate level, starting August 1, 2025. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate architectural design studios. Additionally, the successful candidate will lead seminars focused on digital design and simulation, fabrication, or related courses.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct teaching, service, and scholarship within a private, Christian university of the professions, liberal arts, and sciences.
• Teach and/or consult in a graduate/undergraduate architectural design studio.
• Teach seminar or lecture courses according to areas of specialty and interest.
• Conduct a research/scholarship agenda that is integrated w/ teaching assignments.
• Provide service to the program and the university in the form of student advising, committee assignments, and maintaining office hours.

Required Qualifications:

• An accredited terminal architecture degree (e.g. M. Arch. or equivalent).
• Collaborative skills to work with colleagues in the Department and throughout the University.
• Experience in conducting research individually and with the support of students.
• At least one year of teaching experience conducting architectural design studios and leading digital design seminars.
• Proficiency in industry standard software & emerging software including 1.) Rhino; 2.) Revit; 3.) Sketch-Up; 4.) AutoCAD; and 5.) 3d Max
• Demonstration of an active and growing Christian faith, and commitment to excellence in teaching within a Christ-centered academic community

Preferred Qualification:

• D. in Architecture, Design, Digital Design, or Allied Disciplines
• Interest and demonstrated strengths in the areas of Digital Design, Simulation, Visualization, and Building Information Modelling. Additionally, the successful candidate will also be able to maintain the Architecture & Interior Design Fab Lab, mange the regular maintenance of the equipment and the space, mentor student worker and manage their working hours.
