Job Summary:
The Department of Computer Science at Judson University invites applications for a full-time faculty position, at the Assistant or Associate professor level. The position would be begin in January 2025 or August 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for undergraduate and graduate-level instruction and contribute to the department’s academic mission.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver curriculum in Computer Science, ensuring a high standard of pedagogical effectiveness.
Engage in service roles, including student mentorship, participation in departmental committees, and maintaining scheduled office hours for student consultation.
Advance the integration of faith and learning within a Christian liberal arts framework, demonstrating a living and active Christian faith.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications:
A Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or a closely related field of information technology.
Strong collaborative abilities for working with faculty within the department and across campus.
Proficient with industry-standard technologies, including GIT, Linux, C, Java, JavaScript, and SQL.
Demonstrate an active and growing Christian faith.
Demonstrated commitment to fostering a Christ-centered educational environment.
Proven ability to design and integrate academic content into digital learning platforms such as eLearn/Moodle.
Preferred qualifications:
Previous teaching experience at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Certification in online course design or instructional technology.
Active membership in relevant professional associations.
Aptitude for coaching peers in professional development and skills enhancement.
