Position Description
The Department of Computer and Information Sciences invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The departmental mission is to develop and equip exceptional collaborators who impact the world through the transformative application of the computer and information sciences. Offering bachelor degrees in information systems, information technology, and computer science, and graduate management degrees in the same areas, the department positions itself within the School of STEM and Health Sciences, participating in a highly energetic and synergistic academic environment. The career focused curriculum aims to equip creative and technical problem-solvers, communicators, and collaborators.
The primary foci are teaching excellence and mission alignment. In collaboration with other faculty in the department and school, the candidate will develop and deliver innovative courses at the undergraduate level, with additional opportunities for graduate level professional teaching. The modality is primarily face-2-face, but fully online and hybrid opportunities exist. Additional responsibilities include academic advising, engagement in community and professional groups, and serving on university committees. A passion for working with learners in the Christian higher education setting is essential.

Qualifications
A Ph.D., D.Sc., or D.B.A. degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, software engineering, cybersecurity, game design, artificial intelligence, data analytics, informatics, cloud computing, or closely related fields is preferred. Consideration will be given to candidates holding a master’s degree, industry experience, and teaching experience. The successful candidate will have content expertise and teaching passion to develop the creative minds and professional aspirations of undergraduate and graduate students in the computer and information sciences disciplines within the context of the Christian ethic.
