POSITION: Tenure-Track Assistant or Associate Professor of Graduate Psychology
PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The primary functions of a half-time (.5), tenure-track faculty member, in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, is to teach graduate psychology courses, aid students in their clinical training, guide students in their research activities, participate in academic research, and produce scholarly presentations and publications. Faculty members are also expected to fully participate in University life including committee work and other institution activities.
Can document earned graduate degrees: Ph.D., Ed.D., or Psy.D. in clinical or counseling psychology.
Has several years of clinical experience and holds a current psychologist license in Washington State (or is license eligible in Washington State).
Is involved in ongoing research in psychology.
Has had successful teaching experience at the university level.
Is committed to establishing and maintaining positive mentoring relationships with a diverse student body.
Is committed to establishing and maintaining positive relationships with faculty, staff, and the general constituency of Northwest University.
Is committed to diversity, intercultural education, and multicultural psychology, and is committed to communicating the ethos of “psychology, culture and social justice” for the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences.
