The School of Communication & the Arts at Regent University seeks a full-time Theatre Professional-in-Residence to provide vision and support for theatre productions. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, flexible leader with prior experience in costume design and shop management. The position is responsible for all facets of costuming from conception to construction to strike in a four-show theatre season. In addition to design, the candidate will oversee the daily operations of the costume shop including construction and alterations, fittings, patterning, equipment/inventory maintenance, scheduling, budgeting, and rental coordination. The candidate will also teach 2 classes per year while training and supervising student workers. A Master’s degree is required with preference given to candidates with an MFA in Costume Design. This position will provide periodic support to the University’s film program, theatre class projects, and lab productions.
