Taylor University is seeking applications and nominations of distinctive candidates for a staff appointment as a Clinical Placement Coordinator in the School of Nursing January 30, 2024. Salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
Candidates must have a personal, vibrant faith and Christian walk and be strongly committed to the educational mission and evangelical Christian orientation of the University. Candidates will be expected to affirm the Taylor University Life Together Covenant, Statement of Faith, and essential documents.
An earned bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred. We seek a staff member with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to establish and maintain working relationships with all stakeholders are essential to the role. Experience with systems to organize and track data such as Excel, Microsoft, and Word are beneficial.
The successful candidate will serve under the direction of the Dean of Nursing and assist with the following duties:
1. Serve as a liaison with clinical placement partners to assist the Dean and Faculty in planning student experiences.
2. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with clinical agencies.
3. Coordinate clinical orientation for faculty and students according to clinical partner requirements.
4. Monitor nursing and health programs faculty compliance with credentials, background, drug screen, and required health screenings and immunizations.
5. Maintain records of clinical affiliation agreements/contracts ensuring documents are current.
6. Maintain accreditation records for the School of Nursing.
7. Oversee the administrative responsibilities associated with software systems such as Examsoft, Brightspace, HESI resources, Castle Branch, and others as assigned.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.
The School of Nursing is seeking initial accreditation with an anticipated start during the 2024-25 academic year. Taylor’s traditional BSN program will provide comprehensive education to aspiring nurses. Faculty and staff seek to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to provide high-quality healthcare to individuals, families, and communities while ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
