The Gordon College Psychology Department invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track psychologist position at the assistant or associate professor level. We have a strong preference for a clinical psychologist but will also consider other areas of specialty. Position to begin August 2024. Rank will be commensurate with experience.
The Psychology Department, housed in the Ken Olsen Science Center on campus, offers outstanding colleagues who are committed to excellence in teaching, research, and service along with motivated students who are eager to engage with their faculty colleagues. Expertise of current faculty members is in clinical, developmental, cognitive neuroscience, and bilingualism. We prepare students for graduate work in psychology and related fields, and employment in social service professions, education, public policy, law, business, and a variety of other fields of service.\
We seek someone with a Ph.D. degree with excellent teaching and mentoring skills who can bring appropriate clinical along with research experience to contribute to the department, the College, and the discipline. Potential courses to teach could include Counseling Theories & Practice, Advanced Clinical Issues, and a course in an area of expertise or interest (e.g., Law & Psychology, Health Psychology, Cross-Cultural Psychology).

Completed their doctorate by their time of appointment
A strong commitment to the Christian mission of the college
Collaborative skills that cross departmental and disciplinary boundaries
Commitment to clinical practice and research
