Milligan University Libraries invites applications for a full-time position of Assistant Director of Library Services to serve as an administrative/managerial leader for the library at Milligan University. The librarian position participates in and collaborates with information resource instruction, research consultation, library promotion, local circulation and patron services, space maintenance and development, hiring and supervision of student worker assistants, and assisting the director of libraries with data collection and assessment. The anticipated start date is August 1, 2023.
Qualifications: Successful candidates will have an MLS/MLIS or equivalent from an ALA-accredited institution. Additional graduate degree encouraged (STEM fields and/or Theological disciplines a plus). Minimum 3-5 years academic library experience. Previous administrative and supervisory experience preferred. Successful candidates should also demonstrate a strong Christian faith and commitment to Milligan’s mission as a Christian liberal arts university.
