The Transformational Training Pathways for Hispanic Pastors of the Lilly Phase 3 Grant will facilitate an opportunity to accelerate planning and share insights and resources toward developing a theological education model that will increase access and decrease costs for Hispanic theology students in Southern California and elsewhere.
All three partners in this project (Latin American Bible Institute [LABI] Life Pacific University [LPU] and APU Seminary [APS] are higher education institutions that are already trying to meet the needs of Hispanic churches and pastors in Southern California.
The Grant Manager will assist the Primary Investigator to ensure that the processes and procedures are in place to execute the deliverables specified in the grant. This includes four primary functions: (1) Coordinating with APU support offices to execute the grant (e.g. registrar, marketing, enrollment management, etc.), (2) Facilitating coordination with parallel offices at LABI and LPU, and (3) monitoring progress on grant initiatives, and (4) creating reports for stakeholders.
This is a full-time (40 hours per week) exempt position and includes benefits. This position is grant funded.
Master’s degree or above. Terminal degree preferred.
Teaching and leadership experience in Christian Higher Education, preferably seminary.
Experience working across departments to accomplish stated objectives.
Project Management experience.
Primary Duties/Essential Functions
Create an operational plan for executing the grant objectives.
Communication with all grant leaders (i.e. institutional leaders at APU, LABI, and LPU).
Produce quarterly reports for APU.
Synthesize quarterly reports from all three institutions into one report.
Coordinate fulfillment of curricular objectives of the grant.
Coordinate hiring and load of contract employees (subject matter experts and instructional designers).
Coordinate grant team meetings as specified in the grant.
Coordinate pastors’ meetings as specified in the grant.
Create monthly financial reports for the grant team.
Fluent in Spanish and English (Reading, writing, and speaking).
Ability to digest and distill data from multiple sources.
Strong pastoral, relational, networking, and mentoring skills in various venues and formats.
Strong management and administrative skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage details and follow through.
Must be collaborative and an effective team member and team member.
Strong strategic thinking and administrative skills.
Ability to work under pressure, exuding a mature demeanor while multi-tasking in a deadline-oriented environment with accuracy and consistency.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team, as well as an independent contributor.
Ability to exercise good judgment and discretionary skills in determining when to act independently and when to consult management prior to taking action.

Grade 13: $32.97-$42.86
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
