Engineering at LeTourneau University
The School of Engineering and Engineering Technology enrolls approximately 450 students across its variety of ABET accredited programs. The school’s leadership team, consisting of the dean, associate dean, director of engineering outreach, and five department chairs, shepherds and oversees approximately 25 full-time faculty who prepare students through a hands-on, Christ-centered curriculum where the integration of faith and learning is at the fore. With cutting-edge equipment and 50,000 square feet of dedicated lab space, students have opportunities to design, build, and test throughout the curriculum. Every engineering student spends two semesters working on one of our large-scale, capstone senior design projects, which cover a wide variety of engineering topics, including fundamental research, humanitarian and missions work, entrepreneurship, and design competitions. Faculty bring strong academic, industry, military, and missions experiences into the classroom and are actively engaged in national and international research communities. Our undergraduate and graduate programs prepare students to become leaders in their industries and enter top-tier doctoral programs around the country.
LeTourneau University offers ABET accredited programs in mechanical engineering; electrical and computer engineering; civil engineering; engineering with concentrations in biomedical or materials joining; and engineering technology with concentrations in electrical, mechanical, materials joining, aeronautical-electrical, and aeronautical-mechanical. LeTourneau also offers a Master of Science in engineering and a Master of Engineering. Additional information about the engineering programs at LeTourneau can be accessed online: www.letu.edu/engineering.
