The Natural Sciences & Mathematics Department at Toccoa Falls College invites applicants with a heart for Christian service and a love of science to apply for a full-time faculty position starting August 1, 2023. Primary teaching responsibilities will be in the areas of Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology to support students in the Biology, Nursing and Education majors. Based on the applicants background and experience, other subject areas could include General Biology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Nutrition, Global Public Health, and Epidemiology, which support the Biology degrees offered by Toccoa Falls College.
Faculty are required to prepare outstanding college/university-level learning experiences in the assigned Biology courses each semester using teaching tools such as PPT presentations, laboratory instruction, demonstrations, discussions, reading assignments, etc. Faculty must carefully plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, course materials, and methods of instruction to optimize student learning. Faculty must also be able to provide feedback to students about their performance on class assignments in a respectful manner to help them improve their understanding, retention, and application of course content.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
Applicant must be a spiritually mature Christian in agreement with the college statement of faith and committed to the vision, mission, and values of Toccoa Falls College.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
The ideal candidate will hold a doctoral degree in Biology or an advanced degree in an allied field. Previous teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level is highly desirable. Candidates with a Master’s degree and relevant experience are also invited to apply. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Toccoa Falls College is an evangelical, independent, and interdenominational college, affiliated with the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination. It seeks to maintain the biblical emphasis of a Christian college while offering the broad range of professional studies of a liberal arts college. Toccoa Falls College is located in the foothills of the northeast Georgia mountains, 95 miles north of Atlanta, GA and 65 miles south of Greenville, SC. The campus is situated on 1,100 beautiful acres and includes a 186’ high waterfall.
