Faculty Careers - History
The Huntington University Department of History and Political Science seeks candidates for a Visiting Instructor/Assistant Professor position for the 2021-2022 academic year. Faculty rank is dependent on degree. Attainment of Ph.D. allows rank of Assistant Professor.
Teach three courses per semester (9 credit hours) with at least one course each semester in the department’s HS 115-116 core sequence. Other course assignments depending on departmental needs and candidate’s education and experience
5 office hours per week
Attend department meetings, when possible (no other faculty meeting/committee requirements)
Total time commitment is 25 hours per week
Master’s degree in related field at minimum. Terminal degree allows rank of visiting assistant professor
Teaching experience at the college/university level
Comfort level with innovative teaching and an interactive classroom
