The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science  at Concordia University, Irvine, CA, invites applications for a full-time faculty member in Computer Science  beginning in July 2022. The individual should demonstrate excellence in teaching and scholarship in the discipline of computer science and programming (any related field). The faculty member will teach courses in the department, as well filling roles in advising, mentoring, assessment, program recruitment, and university service. CUI seeks an individual who values a Christian educational approach to higher learning and who will promote the mission, purpose, and objectives of the university, committed to the Lutheran liberal arts tradition. Rank and salary will be determined by credentials and experience.

Qualifications: Terminal degree (PhD) in computer science (or related field) preferred.  MS in computer science or related field acceptable.  Competency or advanced studies in mathematics is also desirable.

Appointment:  The position is a full-time position that will require being on the Irvine campus and comes with full rights as a full-time faculty member. The faculty will be expected to teach courses in connection to a Lutheran Liberal Arts understanding.   They will be expected to participate in events related to the academic life of the University on campus, including convocations and requirements of full-time faculty with respect to service to the Institution, the Academy, as well as to the church and community.
