Trinity International University announces an anticipated opening for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Health Sciences, to begin fall of 2022.
The Assistant Professor of Health Sciences will be expected to teach sport management courses such as sport operations, sport law and ethics, management of sport and wellness, coaching, and human performance measurement and research. There is potential to teach exercise science courses such as kinesiology, biomechanics, exercise physiology, and introduction to health and wellness.
In addition to teaching, the faculty member will be expected to assist in departmental operations within the Division of Science, Technology, and Health, and actively participate in advising and mentoring students, scholarship, and service within the college and university.
Trinity International University is affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America. Faculty must subscribe to Trinity's Statement of Faith and Community Expectations and actively model their Christian faith in their relationships with students. Qualifications include vibrant Christian faith, desire to work with undergraduate students, superior teaching skills, a student-centered approach to teaching and mentoring, and a terminal degree (PhD, EdD) in Sports Management, Exercise Science, or a related field. (ABD considered.) The ideal candidate will be able to lead an expanding Sport and Wellness Management program, and will have professional experience as well as prior experience in college level teaching.
