Shelterwood Academy is a Christ-centered therapeutic boarding school for teens, located on 220 wooded acres outside of Kansas City, MO. For 41 years, the organization has brought hope and restoration to families by helping teens overcome depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, technology addictions, substance abuse and other behavioral and mental health conditions. Each teen is supported by an interdisciplinary team of Christian men and women which include licensed therapists, certified addiction counselors, licensed teachers at our accredited on-campus high school, and around-the-clock mentors.
