Admissions Specialist, Part-Time
The School of Graduate Studies at Messiah University currently has a part-time opening for an Admissions Specialist.
Responsibilities: This is a part-time, 12-month, 25 hours per week position that provides support to the work of the Assistant Dean of Graduate & Adult Enrollment and assists with the day-to-day office operations of the Enrollment office, including but not limited to providing customer service, maintaining schedules, data entry and other administrative tasks. The Admissions Specialist administers processes and provides services related to enrollment through utilization of the CRM Slate and Banner.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required, 2-3 years of administrative support experience required; higher education experience preferred.
Skills and Characteristics: Professional-level communication skills, including strong writing, editing, speaking and comprehension skills; strong organizational skills including time management and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, while identifying, analyzing and solving problems; motivated, responsible self-starter with ability to communicate and work collaboratively across departments and with various constituencies, including external contacts; ability to manage and maintain multiple files and documents in various media and formats; expert computer proficiency including the ability to work independently in enterprise administrative systems, Microsoft Office, PC applications, and understand basic web design; ability to maintain and generate various reports; ability to work independently on complex projects with little to no oversight; strict adherence to confidentiality
