Trinity Western University is Canada’s largest independent Christian liberal arts universities. With an exciting future ahead, Trinity Western is seeking a new Executive Director, Human Resources, who will lead the HR team and be a strategic partner to the various departments of the University. Partnering closely with the Senior VP Business Administration, the Executive Director, Human Resources will develop, drive and implement key HR strategies and alignment of Trinity Western’s strategic plan. The Executive Director will lead a team of HR professionals that provide a high level of service and expertise to the university community in delivering human resources best practices and oversight on recruitment, inclusive excellence, performance management, training and development, compensation, health and wellness, and HRIS. The Executive Director will actively engage members of the University community in the achievement of its people goals through collaboration, relationship building and providing best HR practices.
The ideal candidate is an experienced, diverse, thoughtful, collaborative HR professional who values the core fundamentals of Trinity Western, the people and the community. With at least ten years of experience in Human Resource management, we are looking for a senior leader who has experience in Strategic Planning, Leadership, Recruitment and HR Management. Proven experience in managing operational and capital budgets; implementing governance and management structures; identifying present and potential future opportunities, challenges and planning accordingly. The Executive Director, Human Resources must be an effective communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills and strong leadership abilities. They must have the ability to understand and deal objectively with complex situations, provide sound advice and possess strong business acumen. Be an evangelical Christian leader who is committed to and have a keen desire to serve in work, church, family and community.
