Roberts Wesleyan College, located in Rochester, NY, invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor, beginning in the 2021-2022 academic year. Rank and salary are based on degree earned, college teaching, and other professional experience.
The primary responsibility is teaching. Additional responsibilities include advising nursing students, serving on School of Nursing and college committees, and collaborating to develop new programs and community partnerships. Promotion and tenure at the College is based on achievement across four broad categories: teaching, scholarship, profession-related activity, and service.
School of Nursing
The School of Nursing has the largest undergraduate program at Roberts Wesleyan College. As a learning community grounded in the Christian faith and committed to excellence in nursing through innovative education, scholarship and service, the School of Nursing serves 350+ nursing students in growing pre-licensure and post-licensure bachelor of nursing degree programs and a vibrant graduate program with nursing education and nursing leadership/administration tracks. The School of Nursing is has a state of the art Simulation and Practice Lab facilities and newly renovated classroom space with excellent teaching technology.

Roberts Wesleyan College is an academic community led by faithful men and women who share a deep commitment to Christ-centered living and learning. Qualifications include an advanced degree in nursing and NYS license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse. Preference will be given to advanced practice nurses and individuals with a completed doctoral degree. Candidates must be highly skilled and flexible, able to teach a wide variety of courses to undergraduate and graduate students in traditional and nontraditional programs. In addition, a successful candidate will be able to demonstrate cultural competence and must value the principles of diversity and equity.
