Director of Admissions
Multnomah University is searching for a strong leader to take our admissions team to the next level as we recruit students into a life-changing collegiate experience. As our director of admissions, this person must bring three talents to the table: strategic thinking, a focus on the right opportunities, and culture-building within the team.

Lead the admission team and develop a competent, productive, and effective staff to achieve recruitment goals in undergraduate, graduate and seminary
Foster an environment in which employees function comfortably as a team; feel respected and valued; are empowered to develop and expand their expertise, and are held accountable for doing their part to achieve enrollment
Design and implement a strategic recruitment plan to meet university enrollment targets
Collaborate with other leaders and campus departments to successfully implement the recruitment plan
Partner with the Director of Marketing Communications to build creative strategies to attract prospective students
Ensure the admission office is student-focused and oversee a first-class campus visit and event
Monitor key enrollment data and trends and proactively report progress to executive leadership
Collaborate with other offices to create a seamless experience for students from acceptance to enrollment
Manage budgets and allocate resources to maximize outcomes
Review admissions applications and make decisions in accordance with entrance requirements established by the university
Make recommendations to executive leadership regarding admission policies and procedures
Represent the University and the admissions office at meetings, seminars,
Bachelor’s degree required
Demonstrated leadership skills, including hiring and coaching people to maximize results
A proven-track record of achieving results
History of problem-solving and execution
Commitment to creating first-class customer service experience for prospective students
Excellent communicator with a deep understanding of people
Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with people at all organizational levels
Comfortable using data to make strategic decisions
Demonstrated success in fast-paced environment with aggressive goals
At least three to five years of admissions, sales, or outreach experience preferred
Ability and willingness to travel
Clearly committed to Christ and His people as evidenced by a love for His Word and a consistent willingness to serve others
General Employment Requirements:
Because we believe that professionally qualified, committed Christian personnel are key to the operation of a truly Christian university, and that not only teachers, but all employees, by the pattern of their lives, serve as role models to our students, all employment positions at Multnomah contain the following relating to required personal qualities:
Employees will have received Jesus Christ as his/her personal John 1:12
Employees will be in basic agreement with the institution’s doctrinal
Employees will believe the Bible is God’s Word and standard for faith and daily living. 2 Tim. 3:16-17
Employees will be a Christian role model in attitude, speech and actions towards This includes being committed to God’s biblical standards for morality and sexual conduct. 1 Tim. 4:12, Luke 6:40, Col. 3:17, Titus 2:7-8, 1 Thess. 2:10 and 5:22.
Employees will be actively involved in a local church.
This is a full-time professional staff position with benefits including medical options, dental, vision, life insurance and disability benefits, also paid holidays, vacation accrual and sick time all beginning the first day of the month following one month of employment. A generous Employee Tuition Grant is available after 1 year of employment.
