The Administrative Assistant improves Advancement’s operations by supporting fundraising procedures, assisting assigned team members with administrative tasks, and contributing to periodic special initiatives. The Administrative Assistant handles recurring assignments and designated systems to strengthen the effectiveness of the Advancement team. This position will report to the Executive Assistant of University Advancement.

We’re looking for candidates who have:
One to two years of administrative experience in a fast-paced, busy office, who has general administrative experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks. Must be able to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
Able to demonstrate discretion and maintain confidentiality in accordance with University policies and department needs.
High attention to detail in proactively delivering prompt, accurate data and reports.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member and as an individual contributor.
Proficiency in Microsoft as well as Google Sheets and Docs. Willingness to become skilled with other software, including: Raiser's Edge, Zoom Conferencing, and Salesforce.
Able to articulate an understanding of, and have a passion for, Christian higher education.
Demonstrated professionalism, persistence, initiative, and high ethical standards. Possess an internal motivation to accomplish objectives and tasks (a self-starter).
Key Job Duties
Contribute to CCU’s mission: Christ-centered higher education transforming students to impact the world with grace and truth. In this role, the Administrative Assistant contributes to the mission by supporting key staff who raise monies to support students through scholarships and to offset the cost of higher education.
Schedule opportunities for gift officers to build relationships with donors and donor prospects through face-to-face visits, phone calls, emails, and mailings.
Ensure efficient and timely processes for assigned gift officer(s) proposals, contact reports, and cultivation.
Coordinate multiple projects requiring cross-functional team collaboration.
Support gift officers in correspondence and mailings.
Support and coordinate travel arrangements and itineraries for assigned Advancement gift officers.
Manage gift officers’ monthly expenses.
Represent the Office of the Advancement at University events as requested and attend regularly scheduled team meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to walk, stand, sit, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, speak with clarity, and have appropriate vision and hearing capabilities. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. You may be required to work occasional irregular hours, including some nights and weekends.

Pay and benefits will be discussed in more detail as candidates progress through the interview process. The pay range for this job is: $14.42 - $15.86 per hour. Pay is assigned by reviewing a combination of job-related factors that may include: internal/external pay equity, the salary structure/pay grade, or a candidate’s qualifications/experience for the job. A wage range posted is not a guarantee of a specific wage and CCU reserves the right to make pay decisions based on economic and equity considerations.
