The Teacher Education Department of Toccoa Falls College invites applications for a tenured track position in Education for a position beginning Fall, 2021. Responsibilities include:
Teaching courses which focus on best practices in teaching and learning to undergraduate teacher candidates majoring in elementary, middle grades, and secondary education
Supervising teacher candidates during field experiences and/or Clinical Practice
Preparing and submitting timely grade reports
Organizing class activities and assignments relating them to the overall learning outcomes of the course
Providing input and working with other faculty and staff to evaluate program effectiveness
Advising students regarding course selections, graduation requirements, and other policies and procedures of the college and the Teacher Education program
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications and Skills
Ph.D., Ed.D., Ed.S., or Master’s degree in Education
At least 3 years teaching experience at the PK – 12 level (elementary education experience preferred)
Understanding and use of appropriate teaching practices and assessment
In-depth understanding of engaging learners in grades PK-12
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Ph.D. or Ed.D. in education or a related field
Degree including 15+ graduate hours related to education
Degree including 15+ graduate hours related to teaching reading and literacy
Expereince and training on working with and teaching English language learners
Experience teaching on the collegiate level
Experience supervising and/or mentoring teachers or teacher candidates
Working knowledge of the Georgia Standards of Excellence

Toccoa Falls College is an evangelical, independent, and interdenominational college, affiliated with the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination. Toccoa Falls College is located in the foothills of the northeast Georgia mountains, 95 miles north of Atlanta, GA and 65 miles south of Greenville, SC.
