Assistant/Associate Professor in Biology in the Department of Natural Sciences
The Department of Natural Science at Southeastern University invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor position with a starting date of August 2020. Teaching responsibilities will include courses in Human Anatomy and Human Physiology, introductory courses for majors and one or more upper-level courses in the candidate’s areas of interest and may include Medical Terminology.
The Department seeks to hire a highly skilled teacher with expertise in Anatomy and Physiology. We offer large, multi-section A&P courses and the successful applicant will teach the lecture and laboratory sections of these courses. These courses serve majors in our department and also the growing programs in other Health Sciences programs. Our department offers undergraduate degrees in Biology with various health concentrations and Biochemistry. There are opportunities to conduct undergraduate research and we have dedicated research areas in the science building. Preference will be given to candidates that have taught both face-to-face and remote. Experience with D2L Brightspace for Higher Education learning management system is desired.
Candidates must have earned a masters degree in a relevant field, although a Ph.D., M.D., or DO. is strongly preferred.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
Teach assigned course as specified in the schedule and course contract 30 credit hours.
