Under the supervision of the Director of Title IX and Compliance, the Deputy Coordinator will serve as a liaison between Student Development and MBI faculty/staff on policies such as Title IX, Youth Protection and Drug & Alcohol Safety.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
Coordination and tracking of mandatory training; ensure proper screening of authorized adults; and work with all applicable units of MBI to apply standards of conduct designed to safeguard the welfare of minors.
Function as Lead Investigator on all Title XI reports.
Works with and leads a team of volunteer investigators.
In conjunction with the Director of Title IX and Compliance, coordinate the campus community response to sexual misconduct (including sexual harassment), domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking. This response includes: referring for medical and mental health treatment; assisting student victims in reporting the offense to the police and informing them of how to pursue disciplinary action; assisting students with accessing academic support services, and supporting victims in addressing other needs
This position is a campus security authority, which means that in the event an individual reports a Clery Act crime, this position has a duty to immediately report to the campus police.
Provide support and assistance in connecting students to resources, as well as information about reporting options. Serve as a point of contact for students for information related to MBI’s policies and procedures related to sexual misconduct (including sexual harassment), domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking. Provide other support and information related to sexual misconduct (including sexual harassment), domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking, as needed/appropriate.
Manage scheduling and execution of ongoing education and prevention efforts for MBI faculty, staff, and students about issues related to youth protection, safety, sexual misconduct (including sexual harassment), domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking, including response training.
Process relevant data in order to prepare reports and/ or make presentations or provide training related to the areas of responsibility.
Work collaboratively with various units at MBI and outside agencies to ensure MBI’s compliance with requirements and best practices related to Title IX, the Clery Act, Campus Sexual Violence Elimination (Campus SaVE) Act, VAWA, youth protection and other statewide and national laws/initiatives related to all areas of responsibilities.
Other duties as assigned, and not limited to responding to emails, calls, and other unexpected and unassigned internal and external requests for information, explanation, etc. Timely responses to critical incidents are an essential element of the job, as is thorough planning for coverage on the occasions of vacation/sick leave.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Moderate international travel and communication required.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, sit, and type. This position will frequently stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle, finger or feel and reach with hands and arms. This position is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
No Travel required for this position.

At least two years of experience or equivalent working with youth protection, and/or victims of sexual misconduct (including sexual harassment), domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking; experience gained during the completion of degree programs (graduate assistantships and internships) may be counted toward these requirements at a reduced rate.
Experience related to prevention, education, and program development and implementation.
