Assistant/Associate Professor of Music - Instrumental Music Education

The Division of Music at Oklahoma Baptist University invites applications for a full-time faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Music, Instrumental Music Education. 

The focus of this position is to effectively:

• Recruit and teach undergraduate, instrumental music majors

• Develop a private instrumental studio based on area(s) of expertise
• Direct and manage all aspects of the Symphonic Winds and related instrumental ensembles
• Teach additional undergraduate courses according to expertise and the needs of the Schoool of Visual and Performing Arts

It is required that the incumbent model exceptional musicianship through performance, conducting, and teaching. The successful candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills resulting in the recruitment of undergraduate students and develop a professional-winsome rapport with community music teachers and performers. The successful candidate must provide references that can attest to their successful administrative skills and knowledge to manage and advance instrumental ensembles.
