DEAN FOR THE HOWARD & BEVERLY DAYTON SCHOOL OF BUSINESS Position: Asbury University invites applications and nominations for the next Dean for the Howard and Beverly Dayton School of Business (DSB). This is an administrative post with faculty status. The Dean is the chief academic and administrative officer of the DSB. The Dean is responsible to the Provost of the University. Responsibilities: Candidates will serve as Dean of the Dayton School of Business (DSB) leading the management of the school along with exploring growth opportunities. The Dean is responsible for the vision, strategic growth, personnel, programs and budgets for the DSB and will be expected to teach a reduced load of graduate and undergraduate courses in both online and face-to-face modalities. Courses will typically be affiliated with one or more of the following areas: business administration, sport management, accounting, finance, and nonprofit management pedagogy.
Requirements: A PhD in business or a related field or DBA is preferred, however individuals with an MBA or other credentials and experiences will be considered. Preference will be given to candidates with an earned doctorate from an AACSB or ACBSP institution. The next Dean for the DSB needs to demonstrate
School of Business Information: The Dayton School of Business has over 200 students in undergraduate and graduate programs. The School of Business houses programs in accounting, finance, marketing, management, sport management, and nonprofit management. Degrees are offered at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. There is a strong emphasis on social and commercial entrepreneurship. It is a goal for every student to be mentored by a Christian business person, and for each student to serve as an intern. The DSB desires to develop corporate and entrepreneurial leaders in a changing, global business environment. We believe the business world needs more graduates who with "head and heart" become innovative leaders capable of anticipating, initiating and managing change. Academic Rank: Academic rank at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level commensurate with experience. Salary and benefits are competitive with comparable institutions. Compensation: Compensation is competitive and dependent upon education and experience. Benefits include retirement (TIAA/CREF) and insurance plans.
