Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions

Summary of Responsibilities: The Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions will work closely with the Vice President of Enrollment and Marketing and Graduate Program Directors to plan and implement recruiting strategies for Geneva College graduate programs. The position is responsible for all phases of the admission process, ranging from lead cultivation to qualifying students for admission selection and enrollment. The successful candidate will be articulate, organized, results driven, and an enthusiastic leader. This position will oversee all staff assigned to the admission office with responsibilities recruiting for Geneva College graduate programs. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Enrollment and Marketing

1. Marketing/Recruiting:
   • Attract and recruit students into the graduate programs through personal one on one connections, college visits, telemarketing, college fairs and other effective strategies.
   • Collaborates with marketing, graduate department chairs, and the Vice President of Enrollment and Marketing in developing and implementing innovative recruitment outreach strategies to drive enrollments
   • Assess productivity and effectiveness of marketing activities and efforts in reaching program enrollment goals in conjunction with Marketing and Vice President of Enrollment and Marketing.
   • Develop continuing relationships/partnerships with appropriate business and educational contacts
   • Evaluate recruitment and prospect management functions designed to drive enrollments
   • Oversees prospective student information from the inquiry stage until matriculation
   • Communicate regularly with department chairs regarding admission policies and procedures.
   • Organize and host recruitment events as needed
   • Oversees the preparation of enrollment reports and presents enrollment updates to program chairs, marketing and Vice President of Enrollment and Marketing
   • Performs other duties as assigned
2. Supervision:

1. • Supervises all personnel assigned to graduate admissions recruitment to include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning and directing work, coaching, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
   • Must have a mindset of mentoring employees under supervision. Should be able to lead in a way that sets a good example, promotes teamwork, and encourages a positive, efficient work environment.
