Bushnell University (Eugene, OR) invites applications for a full-time (12-month), non-tenure track Nursing Skills Lab/Clinical Placement Coordinator to begin July, 2021. The successful candidate can expect to work collaboratively to set up, and operate a new nursing skills lab for the Accelerated Baccalaureate pre-licensure nursing program. The candidate will also be responsible for developing and teaching new nursing skills lab courses, coordinating and preparing skills lab demonstrations and other learning activities in collaboration with nursing faculty, and providing Basic Life Support instruction/certification to students and faculty. The candidate will also work collaboratively to secure affiliation agreements and clinical placements for nursing students develop and manage the clinical onboarding process. The School of Nursing is especially interested in candidates who are highly motivated team players, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and committed to multiculturalism and diversity.
Position Specific Qualifications: Candidates will be Basic Life Support (BLS) certified or have ability to become instructor certified, possess current knowledge/expertise/experience with a variety of clinical skills, be eligible for or hold an active unencumbered Oregon RN license.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) and preferably a Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution or terminal degree or enrolled in a doctoral program; a minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing practice experience; prior teaching and/or skills lab/simulation experience preferred; prior experience teaching Accelerated Baccalaureate pre-licensure nursing students preferred. Candidates will be actively engaged in a Christian congregation and able to identify with and support the Bushnell Theological Context for Community statement.
