Sports Management Faculty

The Department of Health, Exercise Science, and Secondary Education at Lee University seeks exceptional candidates for a full-time faculty position in Sports Management. We invite candidates with a Ph.D. in Sports Management or closely related field to apply for a tenure track position with a rank of assistant professor. Candidates holding a Master’s degree in Sports Management or closely related field may be considered if candidate is in the process of pursuing the terminal degree. Individuals from underrepresented populations are strongly encouraged to apply. Qualified candidates will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with colleagues in a collegial campus community. This position is expected to begin August 1, 2021.

Faculty Responsibilities This position carries responsibilities in teaching, scholarship, and service.  Faculty members typically teach twelve credit hours per semester, advise students, serve on university and college committees, and engage in professional development activities.  

Requirements

• Completion of the University’s Faculty Application
• A doctorate in sports management or a related field is required. Candidates holding a Master’s degree in Sports Management or closely related field in the process of pursuing the terminal degree.
• University-level teaching experience

Preferred

• Experience in the sports industry such as coaching and/or administration.
• Participate in external community and professional development activities.
