Assistant Professor of Animation

Regent University’s College of Arts & Sciences is seeking to fill a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in 3D Modeling/Rigging for the Animation program in Media & Visual Arts. This position will be located at Regent University’s Virginia Beach campus. Qualifications include 3+ years of Animation, VFX, or Video Game industry; experience creating low and high res production models (organic/hard surface); ZBrush or Mudbox sculpting experience; proficiency translating 2D artwork to 3D models/sculpts; high level of proficiency in Maya and Photoshop; texture and shading networks; intermediate rigging knowledge; and strong problem-solving skills. In addition, facial blend shape targets, scripting (Python) and custom tool development, Unreal Engine experience, and an enthusiastic and energetic teaching style are preferred. |
