Director School of Nursing

Regent University’s School of Nursing (SON) is seeking a visionary candidate to serve as its next director. SON’s mission is to create a dynamic community of learning to develop exceptionally prepared nurses who will improve health outcomes locally and globally. SON is part of one of the fastest growing universities in America that offers 135+ areas of study at the associate, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels and enrolls more than 11,000 students worldwide.

Fully committed to Regent’s foundational call for Christian Leadership to Change the World, the School of Nursing is positioned to graduate a growing number of seasoned nursing professionals who are intellectually and clinically prepared to meet burgeoning demands for skilled, compassionate nursing professionals. SON offers an RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and a Master of Science in Nursing.

The successful candidate will be a forward-thinking nursing pioneer who is able to identify, define and address pivotal healthcare issues of today and anticipate those of tomorrow. The director’s position offers a unique opportunity for a talented, entrepreneurial, and innovative leader to make SON the “Destination of Choice” for the education and training of future nursing and healthcare professionals. The new director will report directly to the Dean of the College of Healthcare Sciences and will serve as the spiritual, academic, intellectual, and administrative leader of SON, as well as its Chief Nursing Administrator.

The successful candidate should have a record of influential scholarship, must possess outstanding academic credentials commensurate with a tenured appointment at the rank of professor, must demonstrate robust clinical experience, and be a dedicated educator with a deep commitment to student success.
