Faculty Position in Communication and Media Studies
Toccoa Falls College
The Humanities Department at Toccoa Falls College invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the field of Communication and Media Studies starting August 1, 2021. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position will primarily be tasked with the instruction and oversight of courses that are part of the Communication Studies major but will be part of a Humanities department team that represents a diverse range of academic fields. Responsibilities: Teaching responsibilities will primarily include media courses, with a particular emphasis of courses in the Social Media Management concentration. In addition to instruction in media and social media courses, the position will afford teaching opportunities in general education courses in the fields of communication and writing composition. Depending upon background, other possible teaching opportunities include the fields of Public Relations and Journalism. Academic advising and committee work are also expectations of the position. Qualified candidates will evidence strong teaching skills, the ability to integrate faith and learning, a vibrant evangelical Christian faith, and a sincere commitment to the mission of the College.

Education/Experience: A master’s degree in the field is a minimum requirement; an earned doctorate is preferred. Experience and extensive knowledge in the field of Social Media is also required. Professional experience in the Social Media field is strongly preferred. Prior college teaching experience is highly desirable.
