Anderson University (AU), a private liberal arts Christian University in Anderson, Indiana, seeks a visionary and transformational academic leader to serve as Provost. This key and impactful position is responsible for steering the core academic mission of the University.
As a member of Cabinet, the Provost will partner with the President, John Pistole, and work collaboratively with Vice Presidents, Deans of the School of Business, Nursing & Kinesiology, Music, Theater & Dance, Theology, Engineering, & Physical Sciences, and Humanities & Behavioral Sciences to advance a strategic vision that inspires and unites the campus around educating students for a life of faith and service, fiscal sustainability, diversity and inclusion, empathy, compassion, and optimism.
Candidates should have an earned doctorate and demonstrated record of academic leadership, long-range planning, curriculum development, accreditation, faculty recruitment and retention, and management of operational and financial aspects of University academic affairs.
The ideal candidate would be a relationship-oriented leader with prior experience at the level of a provost, dean, vice-president, or equivalent with a record of significant teaching or scholarship, familiarity with the Church of God, and a clear understanding of the current challenges of private, tuition-dependent, faith-based institutions.
