FULL-TIME MATHEMATICS FACULTY POSITION AT EVANGEL UNIVERSITY
Evangel University, a Christian institution committed to the ministry of integrating faith and learning, invites applications for a tenure-track position in Mathematics in the Department of Natural and Applied Sciences.
A graduate degree (Ph.D. preferred) in mathematics or a mathematics-related field is required. A strong background in computer science or physics is desired. While the candidate must demonstrate a primary interest and ability in teaching undergraduate students, an active research program is also a plus. The candidate must be strongly committed to the mission of Christian higher education within the Assemblies of God and he/she must meet professional and personal qualifications.
Teach upper level courses within the applicant’s area of expertise in mathematics and related fields (e.g. physics).
Guide undergraduates in research.
Participate in professional and/or scholarly development.
Serve as an academic advisor and personal mentor to students.
Attend and participate in faculty meetings.
Serve on faculty committees and University commissions.
Represent the University favorably to the public and constituency as occasions permit.
Support and participate in the spiritual life of the University.
Serve as a role model for students in their spiritual formation.
Church attendance: Faculty are normally expected to regularly attend and be members of a local Assemblies of God church.
Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
