Cedarville University invites applications for a PA Program Director of Didactic Education (DDE) to create a new Physician Assistant (PA) graduate program. Rank is commensurate with experience. This position is a full-time faculty position.
Under the supervision of the PA Program Director, the DDE is responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day management of the didactic phase of the PA Program. The DDE works with the Program Director to oversee and facilitate the didactic experience for faculty and students in accordance with the ARC-PA Standards, providing a curriculum of sufficient breadth and depth to prepare students for the clinical practice of medicine. The DDE will develop, maintain, oversee, and ensure adequacy and appropriateness of all didactic courses to ensure they are in accordance with ARC-PA standards as well as program outcomes and goals.
PA with an appropriate Master's degree or higher from an accredited PA Program
current NCCPA certification
possess a current (or eligible to hold and maintain), valid, unrestricted and unqualified license to practice medicine in the state of Ohio
a minimum of 3 years of full-time clinical experience
experience relevant to educational settings (with particular emphasis on medical education)
administrative ability to manage the didactic educational components of the PA Program
familiarity with the accreditation process and requirements
excellent oral and written communication skills
strong critical thinking, organizational, and problem-solving skills
excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate as a team member
excellent rapport and network-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders
competence and ability to develop requisite knowledge of computers, technology and software (or similar products/programs) to perform assigned tasks
demonstrable leadership abilities, including responsibility and self-motivation
the ability to collaborate with students, staff, and faculty within/out the department
a working knowledge of biblical texts and the ability to appropriately integrate texts into the practice of medicine
the qualified candidate will be a born-again Christian with a personal commitment to Jesus Christ.
This position is subject to the University's verification of credentials and other information required by law and Cedarville University policies, including the successful completion of a criminal history investigation.
