Bryan College, a non-denominational Christian college, is seeking to fill the position of Vice President of Finance. Reporting directly to the President, this person will be the Chief Financial Officer for the College and responsible for the financial affairs of the College including financial reporting and controls, cash management, debt acquisition and liquidation, investments and employee benefits. The Vice President of Finance is expected to provide executive level leadership in vision and administration. This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt position located in Dayton, Tennessee. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves on the Administrative Council, President’s Administrative Cabinet, Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees
Prepares monthly financial reports, annual financial statements, coordinator of the annual GAAP and federal financial aid audits
Prepares annual budgets for discussion, evaluation, and approval as well as maintaining current information on actual to budget status during the year
Prepares and/or reviews all required outside reports including Federal Form 990, IPEDS, and any other report as needed.
Reconciles various bank accounts to the general ledger
Directly supervises the following departments: Human Resources, Business Office, Financial Aid and Information Technology.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work.
In addition, is responsible for interviewing and hiring employees, addressing complaints; resolving problems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Master’s degree (M.A.) and four to ten years' experience
