Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Michigan invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in social work and Director of Field in our CSWE accredited Social Work Program beginning fall 2020. The candidate will be in charge of directing the field component of the undergraduate social work program and teach a range of BSW classes. Experience in child welfare and/or trauma would be beneficial as our program offers a state certified child welfare certificate and aspires to be more trauma informed. Other responsibilities include scholarly engagement in the candidate’s specialization area, academic advising, and collaborating with Social Work Program Director in the program’s ongoing assessment and pursuit of excellence in social work education. We are open to hiring at the assistant or associate level, depending on experience.
The successful candidate will possess a minimum of an M.S.W. from an accredited social work program with 2 years of field experience (Ph.D. preferred), give evidence of scholarly potential, and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Review of applications begins immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
